JV Volleyball Splits Final Matches of the Season

The Newton Railer JV Volleyball team split their final matches of the 2020 Volleyball Season.  The Railers started the night with a three set win over Haysville-Campus 20-25, 25-17, 15-6.  Campus then defeated Andover in 3 sets before Newton faced Andover in the final match of the evening.  The Railers fell to Andover 19-25, 8-25

Schmidt leads Railers with 6th Place Finish at League

Luke Schmidt finished 6th overall in the Varsity Boys Division to lead the Railer Boys to a 5th place league finish.  The Railer Varsity Girls finished 6th overall and were led by Isabel Sandoval who finished 22nd.  The JV Boys team finished 4th overall.  They were led by Clayton Kauffman in 10th place.  The Varsity

Updated Spectator Information for Upcoming Newton Athletic & Activity Events

With USD 373 transitioning to the Yellow Mode of Operation for the remainder of this week there will not be any adjustments to spectator requirements at USD 373 events.  The requirement of wearing masks and social distancing by family groups, along with limited spectator attendance will remain in place for the remainder of this week. 

Seirer Qualifies for 5A State Golf

Senior Mallory Seirer punched her ticket to the 5A State tournament with a 12th place finish at today’s Regional in Emporia.  Seirer shot a 93 to tie for 12th place, leading the Railers to a 6th place team finish.  Mallory will now compete in the state tournament held at Salina Municipal Golf Course on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday,
