Boys Junior Varsity Tennis, Boys Varsity Tennis · Railer Boys Tennis Has Successful First Week

The Railer Boys Tennis Teams started their season off well this past week with several top finishes.

On Tuesday the Varsity team finished 2nd place at the McPherson Invite, led by the doubles team of Zeke Thompson and Max Musser who took 1st place.  The doubles team of Jonah Schloneger and Justin Franz finished 3rd overall.  Sam Claassen took 4th in singles, followed by Otis Musser in 5th.

Also on Tuesday, Newton finished 3rd at the Valley Center Varsity Invite.  Simon Koontz finished first in #2 singles, and Ben Friesen-Guhr finished 3rd in #1 singles.  The #2 doubles team of Payton McCord and Ethan Neufeld finished in 3rd, and the #1 doubles team of Miguel Molina and Josh Bergman finished 5th.

Jakob Senn and Gage Marsh also brought home titles at the Ark City JV Tournament on Tuesday.

On Thursday, April 1 the Varsity team finished in 3rd place at the Emporia Invite.  Thompson and Musser led the way again in doubles, finishing 3rd overall.  Schloneger and Franz finished 5th overall.  In singles, Otis Musser finished in 7th place, followed by Claassen in 8th.

The Varsity team will travel to Ark City tomorrow for a tough Ark City Invitational and the JV will be at home hosting their own invitational starting at 3:00 PM.
