With USD 373 transitioning to the Yellow Mode of Operation for the remainder of this week there will not be any adjustments to spectator requirements at USD 373 events. The requirement of wearing masks and social distancing by family groups, along with limited spectator attendance will remain in place for the remainder of this week. The CMS Orchestra concerts, NHS Varsity & JV Soccer Games, and NHS Freshman Volleyball quad scheduled for Thursday, October 15 will still take place as planned. The Varsity Football game at Salina South on Friday, October 16 will also take place following the guidelines provided. The AVCTL Freshman & JV Volleyball Tournaments and the AVCTL Division 1 & 2 Cross Country Meet scheduled for Saturday, October 17 will also happen with modifications.
For Monday, October 19 through Sunday, October 25, USD 373 will be in the Orange Mode of Operation. This means that all events hosted in our district will be able to take place, but there will be no Spectators allowed at any home events throughout the week. The 7th & 8th Grade Football games versus Lakewood that were originally scheduled on the field at NHS have been moved to Fischer Field beginning at 3:30 PM & approximately 5:00 PM. The Freshman Football game against Salina South has been moved to an approximate start time of 6:45 PM at Fischer Field. There will be no JV Football game that night. Varsity/JV Volleyball and Soccer scheduled at NHS and Fischer Field for Tuesday, October 20 will take place as scheduled. Saturday’s Sub-State Volleyball Tournament that was originally scheduled to take place at NHS has been moved to Andover Central High School to accommodate the ability for spectators to attend. All other events the remainder of the week will take place as scheduled and will follow the guidelines of the host schools.
With the inability to have fans in attendance, we will be live streaming all home events next week on the NFHS Network. There is no cost to watch these events. Follow these instructions to watch: NFHS Network Subscription Instructions.
We know these circumstances are not ideal, but we are happy that our students still have the opportunity to participate through these challenging times. Thank you for your support!
